The Beauty of Winter in Pennsylvania! February Ice Storm 2011

Here in Pennsylvania...we have gotten hammered with another Winter storm. This particular storm was mainly an ice maker and the ice quickly accumulated on our trees, homes, roads and power lines. We took the 3 photo's this morning of the ice covering the trees on our property. While the ice on the trees looks beautiful...it can be dangerous when it knocks branches down or pulls power lines down.

Even with it being dangerous outside today...it is truly a beautiful sight to see all of the ice hanging on the trees. You can click on each photo to enlarge them so you can see how thick the ice really is.


We were iced in for several days...it crippled our area with "inch deep" ice. Power lines went down, a lot of vehicular accidents and retail stores closed down. We get ice storms from time to time during the winter season, but this one was particularly bad!
