Affordable Family Lodging Choices For Ocean City New Jersey

Starting when I was 5 years old and now it's 38 years later...my family has always taken at least one trip a year down to Ocean City, New Jersey. Ocean City is a very family friendly beach because they have no bars, no clubs and no alcohol can be purchased within the city limits. Yes...It can be consumed but not purchased there. I love that because it keeps all of the spring breakers out of town and it is a more relaxed family atmosphere.

The beaches in Ocean City, New Jersey are large white sandy beaches that are well maintained. My only 'beach' complaint is that it does cost you to go onto the beach so you will need to purchase beach tags by the day, weekend or week. They have a beautiful large wooden boardwalk that is lined with wonderful gift shops, eateries, arcades, etc.

One of the places that we enjoy staying at is the Pavilion Motor Lodge which is located towards the north end of island. There are no streets to cross to reach the beach which is super nice. They have a nice pool, a lot of free parking, elevators, ice machines, daily maid service and you can get motel rooms or stay in one of their 1-2-3 bedroom apartments.

The Sifting Sands Motel is another family friendly affordable motel in Ocean City, New Jersey. They have free parking, in-ground heated pool, daily maid service and newly remodeled motel rooms. I have never stayed at this place but I had friends stay there and tell me that it is nice.

Another place that I have been told that is family friendly and affordable is the Impala Island Inn in Ocean City, New Jersey. They have in-room refrigerators, a nice large swimming pool, daily maid service, free parking for their guests and an on-site restaurant.

Out of the 3 listed above...I have only personally stayed at The Pavilion Motor Lodge and so far...that is our preferred place. I do look forward to visiting the other 2 mentioned in this blog post that friends and family have recommended to our readers.
