July 4th Fireworks at Koons Park in Linglestown

Koons Park is located in Lower Paxton Township in a Harrisburg suburb called Linglestown. This is a well-kept park with 33 beautifully landscaped acres. When visiting this park you will find numerous lighted tennis courts, basketball courts and volleyball courts.

In addition...you will find a football field, several baseball fields, playground equipment for the children to play on, picnic pavilions, clean restrooms and more! During the summertime you can visit the neighborhood swimming pool which is also located in Koons Park.

When we go up to Koons Park we like to take our little grand daughter up to play in the playground but when July 4th rolls around...the entire family gets together and goes up to Koons Park to see their July 4th holiday fireworks which are always spectacular!

When we go we take our own chairs & blankets to sit on...a small cooler with non-alcoholic beverages, snacks and lots of bug spray! (take bug spray with you when you go). If you go early enough...you can get decent parking but if you wait until the last minute to get there...well, you will have to park "many" blocks away.

The fireworks show usually starts right after dusk and lasts for 45 to 50 minutes and is quite the show! Koons Park has one of the nicest firework displays here in the Harrisburg Pennsylvania area. Matter of fact, it is where we prefer to go when we are "in town" over the July 4th holiday.
