If you live in central Pennsylvania you already know about our wonderful minor league baseball team called the
Harrisburg Senators. If you are new to the area or planning a trip to the area and looking for something to do...we highly recommend that you take in a Harrisburg Senators baseball game!
The team plays all of their home games on
City Island in downtown Harrisburg at
Metro Bank Park. The stadium will hold 6,187 fans and is beautifully landscaped. Also on City Island is City Island Miniature Golf and from time to time you will find other family-friendly activities & events going on.
The Harrisburg Senators are a very successful minor league baseball team that has won numerous Eastern League titles; 1927, 1928, 1931, 1987, 1993, and 1996–99. Fans of all ages enjoy going down to City Island to see the team play and while the games are NOT free, they are affordable. Often times you can find discounted tickets available in the immediate area which will save you a little bit of money.
You can find the entire game schedule, player's roster, Metro Bank Park info, events and more right on the official
Harrisburg Senators web site. Often times there is a small fireworks show after the home games that are played in the evening which is spectacular and included in your ballpark admission price.

The next time you are looking for something fun to do that the entire family can enjoy, we highly recommend taking in a Harrisburg Senators baseball game and then grabbing a bite to eat or playing a round of miniature golf over on City Island.
The only thing we recommend is that you investigate parking options before heading down into the city as parking can be a real nightmare if you are not familiar with the area. In addition, often times you end up paying a few bucks to park but if you can find free parking, by all means take it. Enjoy the game!
