Arts and Entertainment Events at The Scottish Rite Cathedral in Harrisburg

The Scottish Rite Cathedral in Harrisburg is a historic building that hosts various arts and entertainment events throughout the year. You'll find them located at 2701 N. 3rd Street in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. If you're not familiar with the area, the venue sits right behind the historic Zembo Shrine building.

We had the pleasure of attending a holiday show at The Scottish Rite Cathedral back in December 2017. The show was a big dance recital put on by The Stuido, called Frosty! We were able to purchase our tickets online. With that said, they really don't have a centralized area online where you can see an upcoming schedule of events. (at least that I could find). I think it would be best to follow them over on Facebook for current & up-to-date information.

There are two large parking lots that you can utilize with one being out front of the building and one being behind the building. BOTH are free for guests to use during events. There are 2 main entrances into the building, leading from each of the two parking lots. Once inside you'll be in the lobby and you'll find the ticket counters, coat-check and public restrooms.

We had assigned seating and found our seats quickly. My only complaint about seating is that they really pack you in like sardines! There was barely any leg room at all and every time someone needed to get up and use the facilities or for new arrivals to be seated, you had to stand up, suck in your gut and let them pass through. They seriously need to do something about that seating!

During our visit we did use the coat check (with no issues) and the public restroom facilities which were extremely-clean and modern. Since it was the holiday season, the lobby are was beautifully decorated for Christmas and the holiday season.

Overall we had a really nice time! The venue was easy to get to, parking was easy to utilize and the facility was really nice, other than the leg room space. This was our first time visiting this entertainment venue in Harrisburg and would definitely visit again.
