As we walked around the grounds we had the opportunity to check out various planes from World War II, see men & women dressed in authentic World War II uniforms and attire, see how military camps were set up, got up close & personal with old vehicles, checked out some of the participating vendors and so forth.
If you plan on attending in 2018 and if you plan on staying overnight in Reading, Pennsylvania, you'll need to plan ahead! Area lodging goes quickly during these big events, so consider booking your lodging accommodations MONTHS in advance. It will be held on June 1st, 2nd and 3rd, 2018.
Looking for something to eat? There is a small pub inside the airport where you can grab a quick bite to eat. The museum has an area set-up that contains vending machines where you can purchase cold drinks and snacks. The vending area is located in the MAAM main hanger.
We had a great time attending the Mid-Atlantic Air Museum World War II Weekend last year and are planning to attend again this year. This time around we'll be visiting BOTH the museum and the World War II events. You can learn more about the museum and their scheduled events by visiting the Mid-Atlantic Air Museum's website online.
