Shopping at the Schuylkill Mall in Frackville

A few months ago we took a trip up to the Pocono Mountains and stumbled upon the Schuylkill Mall in Frackville Pennsylvania. If you're driving up to the Poconos from the Harrisburg and Hershey areas, this is about the halfway point and a great place to stop for a break.

The Schuylkill Mall is located on 830 Schuylkill Mall Road in Frackville Pennsylvania, for those of you who want to plug that into your GPS. It sits right off of Interstate 81 and you'll find interstate access pretty easy. Just follow the signs.

When shopping at the Schuylkill Mall you'll find a bunch of stores like Bath & Body Works, Bon Ton, Big Lots, Brackney Leather, Cracker Barrel, Dunham's Sports, Gertrude Hawk Chocolates (one of my favorite chocolate stores), GNC, McDonald's, Passion Nails, Radio Shack, Suglia's Pizzeria, Totally Twisted Pretzels, Urban Hairstylists, Victoria's Secret and more.

If you're staying in the area you'll find the Pearl Theatre offering up 8 screens! They're open daily with matinees, evening shows, bargain Tuesday shows for $5.00 and more. During the summer season they set up a "seasonal" drive-in movie theater in the parking lot of the mall. Gates for that open at 8pm and the movies start at 9pm.

Throughout the year the Schuylkill Mall offers up all kinds of fun events, some of them are seasonal around the holidays. You can visit their website online for a full list of vendors, events and to obtain their hours of operation & additional driving directions.

When we travel up and back to the Pocono Mountains, it's a great place for us to stop for a break. We usually grab something to eat, use the restrooms and do a little shopping while we're there.
