My wife and I are big fans of hand-painted street art and outdoor wall murals. When we travel, we are always on the lookout for it, especially when we visit the Jersey Shore. Some of our favorite work's of art are doing by
Bielings. This father and son team are extremely talented artists.
If you've been reading our travel blog for awhile now, you will have already seen several posts with photographs of street art and wall murals that we've featured from the great state of New Jersey. If you're new here, you can find our previous features in our
Street Art & Wall Murals travel section.
Today's outdoor wall mural was located in Stone Harbor, New Jersey at the Club 18 Miniature Golf Course. As soon as you walk into the entrance you'll see the hand-painted wall mural hanging up on the wall to your right. It appears to be painted onto canvas panels that the establishment takes down during the off-season. It was painted in 2013.
The design features prehistoric animals, I'm guessing that they're saber tooth tigers, rhino and wholly mammoths. Adults with babies in a snowy mountain landscape. Kind of odd seeing something like that at the Jersey Shore, considering most of the wall murals & street art that we come across here is typically in a beach or coastal design.
Last year while visiting Wildwood we discovered the artists for the first time when we stumbled upon their outdoor wall mural depicting a young Bobby Rydell. That hand-painted mural is located right on the side of a building on the Wildwoods boardwalk. You can see the mural and read all about it by visiting our
Bobby Rydell wall mural post right here on the blog. It's a beautiful depiction!
So, there you have it! Another installment here on our travel blog of another piece of street art - outdoor wall mural that we recently discovered on a trip down to Stone Harbor in New Jersey. We'll be featuring several more that we found in the coming weeks.
