We are big fans of hand-painted street art and outdoor wall murals, so when we travel...we're always on the look-out for it. Often times you'll find this kind of street art painted on the front, sides or back of businesses, on bridges and under-passes, on cement barriers and so forth. A lot of this type of artwork is done by amateurs and other's are done by well-known artists.
While on a trip up to
Niagara Falls in
New York, we spotted an outdoor wall mural that was hand-painted by artist
Jesse Page on the side of a building (Niagara Falls Haunted House). I can't remember the exact street, but if you're walking down to Niagara Falls State Park, you'll find it on the street leading to the main entrance into the park.
The mural depicts Niagara Falls with a Canadian Flag and an American Flag. If you look closely you'll see the American Falls, Bridal Veil Falls and Horseshoe Falls. The first two waterfalls are on the American side and Horseshoe Falls is on the Canadian side. The artist's name is on the right side of the wall mural.
We love photographing the street art and wall murals that we find while traveling, so this one was a great addition to our collection. It's the ONLY outdoor wall mural that we spotted while in Niagara Falls. When we visit again next year, I'll be on the lookout to see if we can find any more.
