The Encore Boston Harbor Resort and Casino is one of our favorite places to stay when visiting the Boston area. This resort is the largest 5-star regional resort casino outside of Las Vegas. You'll find 671 guest rooms that are beautifully decorated, spaceous and clean! 

Every room has bedside consoles to charge devices, voice-controlled curtains and lighting along with Alexa virtual assistant. The beds have luxury 100% Egyptian Cotton bed linens. Each room makes you feel comfortable and spoiled like royalty. 

Resort features a luxurious spa, full-service salon, fitness center, meeting rooms, retail shops, restaurants, bars, lounges, and so much more! Then you have a large, full-service casino for hours upon hours of fun. The resort's lobby is lavishly decorated in a garden theme. Awe-inspiring when you see it. Always something to see and do! 

During our 3 night stay we enjoyed dining at the Rare Steakhouse, Fratelli and On Deck. There are casual and fine dining options. You'll find American, Italian, Chinese and local cuisine. A lot of options for your taste buds to enjoy. 

Harborwalk surrounds the resort and spans 6 acres. You'll find beautifully manicured gardens, paths for walking, jogging, or biking. There's a public park right on the property that sits along the Mystic River.

Family-Friendly Accommodations at Aloha Oceanfront Motel in North Wildwood

Family-owned and operated...management is always on-site. The check-in process is fast and easy, along with check-out. All of the motel staff is friendly and we always see them walking around with a smile on their face. The staff goes out of their way to make sure your visit is a comfortable one.

At the motel you'll find comfortable and spacious 2-bedroom ocean-view suites that include a living room area, kitchen, bathroom and 2 separate bedrooms. In the living room you'll find a sofa (pulls out to a sofa bed), love seat, bureau and flat-screen TV. You'll find a table with chairs for your dining pleasure.

In the kitchen area you'll find a full-size refrigerator, plenty of cabinet space, microwave oven, coffee maker, toaster, dishes, cookware, utensils and a cook-top stove. One of the things I've always appreciated about the kitchen is that they think of all of the little things you may need during your stay. Large bowls, large pots & pans, can opener, serving spoons, cutting board, etc.

The bathrooms are exceptionally clean! I love that they're always stocked with fresh bath linens and an adequate supply of them! Unlike other hotels...they make sure your entire family has all of the bath linens that you'll need. I was really impressed with the elegant little touches like perfectly folded towels, bath mats, fan-folded wash cloths, rosettes on top of the toilet paper rolls, etc. Presentation is everything!

You'll be comfortable when you sleep thanks to the 2 separate bedrooms which are perfect for families traveling with children or for 2 adult couples. Each bedroom is spacious with plenty of room for you to walk around the bed, get dressed/undressed or just relax after a long day. The beds are comfortable and pillows are abundant.

One of my favorite places to hangout while visiting the Aloha Oceanfront Motel is the sundeck. It faces south and you get breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean. It's large in-size and there's plenty of room for all of their guests. There are a couple of umbrella tables & chairs up on the sundeck which is a great place to enjoy a meal.

The heated swimming pool (heated to a comfortable 82 degrees) is my second favorite place to hangout. There's a kiddie section for children at the low end of the pool. You'll find plenty of lounge chairs around the perimeter of the pool along with umbrella tables & chairs. You'll often hear music playing from the stereo system as you sit poolside for the day.

If you're looking for something to eat you'll find delicious hot breakfasts and lunches at the Aloha Coffee Shop and Cafe. Everything is made-to-order to your specifications. The menu has all of your classic breakfast & lunch offerings, and everything is affordable.

When booking your accommodations you'll want to ask for the Deluxe Oceanfront Suite with all Glass Front, Style B. Inside your room you'll find a comfortable king-size bed, sofa in living area, a dining table with 2 chairs, a small refrigerator, microwave oven, a private bathroom and individually controlled central air conditioning and heat. With 510 square feet there's plenty of room to spread out.

All rooms are modern and extremely clean! We've been in all of the different style suites that they offer and all of them are attractively decorated.

You'll find plenty of plush, soft towels in your bathroom along with a hair dryer. I was really impressed with the little touches like the "rosette" on top of the toilet paper roll and the perfectly folded towels and wash cloths. There's plenty of room in the bathroom to do what you need to do!

If you enjoy hanging out by the swimming pool you'll find plenty of seating with lounge chairs and deck chairs. There are tables with umbrellas if you prefer the shade. The pool is heated to a comfortable 82 degrees. The pool is kept immaculate and you'll see the employees testing the water every day and cleaning the area.

We really enjoy hanging out on the oceanfront sundeck where you'll be treated to beautiful views of the sandy beach and the Atlantic Ocean. There's plenty of seating for everyone and you can choose to sit at a table or comfortably relax in a lounge chair.

The Aloha Oceanfront Motel features an on-site Cafe and Coffee shop that's open daily from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM. You can order breakfast and/or lunch to eat-in or grab for take-out. We found the food to be delicious and very affordably priced. We recommend trying the Blueberry Pancakes for breakfast and the Aloha Burger for lunch.

One of the things that makes this motel so special is that it's family owned and operated. Upon arrival they make you feel welcomed, important and by the time you check-out you'll feel like part of the family. The staff is well-trained. helpful and friendly. Guests come back to the Aloha year after year, decade after decade.

Upon arrival you'll head into the office for the check-in process. It's quick and easy. Within a few minutes you'll be on your way. The office is open from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM. After hours you can reach the office staff via phone. Someone is always available to help you.

At the Aloha you'll find comfortable and modern, oceanfront and ocean view, 1 and 2 bedroom suites. All of their suites are spacious, beautifully decorated and extremely clean. Rooms include a full-size refrigerator, 2 burner cook-top, microwave, cookware, dinnerware, and utensils. You're responsible for washing & drying your own dishes! All of the kitchenettes have been recently updated with beautiful new kitchen cabinets and counter-tops.

The sitting area includes a pull-out sofa and with the 2-bedroom suite you'll have a pull-out sofa and a loveseat. One of the things we love about the sitting area is that its all open...you don't feel closed-in. There's plenty of room for everyone in the family to stretch out and relax.

When we stay at the Aloha we always book the Deluxe Oceanfront Suite with an all glass front which gives you a front-row seat to the beach and the Atlantic Ocean. You can sit at the table and enjoy your breakfast, lunch and dinner while enjoying beautiful views of the water. Pop open a window or two and you can hear the waves crashing onto the sand.

In the bedroom you'll find two double beds, a large dresser and a TV with remote control. The mattresses are really comfortable and you get plenty of pillows on the bed. Like all of the other rooms, the bedrooms are beautifully decorated with plenty of room for you and your luggage. Each bedroom has a modern charging port so that you can charge up your electronic devices when needed. I can honestly tell you...the Aloha is the only motel in North Wildwood that I'm personally aware of that has these charging ports!

Let's talk about the bathroom. The bathroom in your suite is larger than most that I've seen on the island. You get plenty of bath towels, wash cloths, a bath mat, make-up remover cloth, toiletries, extra toilet paper, box of facial tissues, a hair dryer, etc. all in your bathroom. The vanity is modern and if you're a female...you'll find plenty of light when applying your make-up. All of the bath linens are plush, soft and beautifully folded. I love the little touches like the rosette placed on top of the toilet paper and the personalized Aloha Oceanfront Motel shower curtain.

On the second floor you'll find the large oceanfront sundeck with lounging chairs, sitting chairs and umbrella tables. You can sit on the sundeck and soak up the rays, enjoy a meal or just socialize with your friends and family.

When it comes to on-site entertainment you'll find a game room on the bottom floor that is open from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM. You can enjoy a friendly game of air hockey, play a few video games or try your skill with the crane machine. We love having an on-site game room to help entertain the kids when they're traveling with us.

The Oceanfront Coffee Shop is open for breakfast and lunch 7-days a week during the in-season and during weekend in the off-season. When we stay at the Aloha we like to start off our day by having breakfast at the coffee shop before we head out. Weekend Getaway to Harbor Light Family Resort in Wildwood

A few months ago we enjoyed a weekend getaway down to the Jersey Shore. We love the Jersey Shore and go down there several times every year. Sometimes we'll go for an entire week and at other times, to just enjoy a quick weekend getaway.

One of our favorite places to stay is at the Harbor Light Family Resort located in North Wildwood, New Jersey. It's within one block of the beaches in North Wildwood and Hereford Inlet, and within walking distance to the Hereford Inlet Park and the Hereford Inlet Lighthouse.

The motor in is open seasonally from around April to early October. It's family owned and operated, and has some of the most affordable guest rates on the entire island. Yes, Wildwood is technically a barrier island located along the south New Jersey coast and within 10 minutes driving distance to Cape May, Stone Harbor and Avalon.

This resort features 2 decent-sized heated swimming pools, 3 floors of motel rooms & guest suites, an elevator, free parking for guests, outdoor sundecks, gas grills, a small business office, etc. It's not fancy...but it's modern, comfortable and extremely clean.

They have various styles of rooms and accommodations available. We like to stay on the third floor in a corner suite that gives us gorgeous ocean views of the Atlantic Ocean. Our suite is always very clean and spaceous. Plenty of room for a family of four. There is a dining room table with four chairs, a decent-sized sleeper sofa and TV in the main living area.

There is a mini kitchen which includes a 2 burner stove, cookware, dinnerware, utensils, sink for washing dishes, a microwave, coffee maker, toaster and a full size refrigerator/freezer. Kitchen linens and dish soap is provided for you. Please note...you're responsible for washing & drying your own dishes! Do NOT leave them for the hotel staff to clean!

The bathroom is nice sized and includes a shower/tub combo, toilet, sink, large mirror and a hair dryer. Our bathroom was extremely clean and I always check out the cleanliness of a bathroom when I am checking out lodging options. Two thumbs up on this clean bathroom!

The bedroom was spacious and we had 2 double beds in our room along with plenty of drawer space and a small hanging bar for hanging clothes. There was plenty of pillows, sheets and blankets along with an iron. One thing I really liked is that the bedroom has a nice flat panel TV.

With all of that said, I find that the free wifi at this particular hotel/motel/resort is absolutely terrible! Every time we go (we've been going there for years), I have to take along my own wifi stick and pull in our own private wifi to all of our electronic devices. Their wifi is as slow as molasses and often times we get kicked off the internet which makes it hard to get anything done. Seriously, it needs to be improved and that's really my only complaint when we stay here.

Overall, we enjoy our visits down to the Harbor Light Family Resort (Motor Inn) in North Wildwood, New Jersey. If you're looking for an affordable, family-friendly place to stay that's close to the beach and located in a quiet-area on the island, we recommend the Harbor Light Family Resort to all of you.

Family-Friendly Accommodations at Jade East Motel in North Wildwood

The Jade East Motel is one of the nicest and most affordable motels located in North Wildwood, New Jersey. This small, family owned & operated motel sits on the beach block and is a short walk to the beach. You'll find free, off-street parking, one car per unit.

Steve and Jane Lawrence own the motel and are two of the friendliest people that you will ever meet. I recently had a total knee replacement and they were extremely helpful in accommodating my disability and found us the perfect room to stay in.

Our check-in process was quick and easy upon our arrival. Check-in time is 2 PM with check-out being 11 AM. If you need to make other arrangement, they will try to accommodate your request. A few of their rooms offer guests some pretty ocean views.

We reserved a 1 bedroom apartment with 2 full-size beds, a kitchenette, full bathroom and sitting area. You can browse their website to see room layouts, amenities offered and current reservation specials. As soon as we stepped into our room we were impressed with the furnishings and cleanliness.

If you reserve a room with a kitchenette you'll find a full-size refrigerator, microwave oven, stove-top, toaster, coffee maker, dinnerware and utensils that you can use. They provide liquid dish soap, dish cloth and dish towel. You'll need to provide your own paper towels and any disposable paper products that you think you'll need. There are no ice makers for guests to use, but they do include "filled" ice cube trays in your freezer. We opted to just go up to Wawa and purchase a bag of ice.

The bedroom has 2 full-size beds, a large dresser and a small hanging rack where you can hang some clothing. There isn't a lot of space in the bedroom, but then again...it's for getting dressed and for sleeping. My only issue with the bedroom is that it doesn't have a TV. Our family is used to laying in bed at night and watching some television before going to bed. Hopefully in the future they'll consider adding one, even a small one would be a real winner in my book.

Regarding the bathroom...it's small, but extremely clean! You'll have a toilet, sink and tub/shower combo. We did receive guest toiletries in our bathroom on a daily basis. If you use a hairdryer, you'll want to bring that along with you. Every day we were treated with a new supply of bath linens and plenty of them at that!

In the living room area you'll have a sleeper sofa, television, an extra sitting chair and plenty of room to stretch out. The grandchildren liked pulling out the sleeper sofa and watching TV and playing games at night. We had 3-4 guests in our room and all of us had plenty of sitting room and room to stretch out.

On-site you can enjoy a sundeck located up on the 3rd floor of the hotel. Each guest room has 2 sitting chairs outside their unit, so you can sit out on the balcony and enjoy the fresh air. There is a gas barbecue grill located down near the pool area with a patio table & chairs that guests can use. When using that area, please be courteous and clean-up after yourselves.

My family, especially my grandchildren really enjoyed the motel's swimming pool. It's a heated pool with the water being heated around 82 degrees on most days that we were there. The pool closes at 6 PM daily and on some days we had wished that it was open a little bit later. Let's face it, the kids loved being in the pool and on extremely HOT days, it would of been nice to have it open just a little bit later into the evening.

This was our first time staying at the Jade East Motel in North Wildwood, New Jersey and it won't be our last! We've been coming down to Wildwood multiple times every year since 1999 and were really impressed with Jade East. The Cameron Estate Inn in Beautiful Lancaster County

The Cameron Estate Inn is located in Mount Joy, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. The mansion was built in 1805 by President McKinley's great-great grandfather and was the summer retreat of Simon Cameron & his family. The historic mansion was converted into a lovely bed and breakfast inn with 18 guest rooms, wedding & party venues and an on-site fine dining restaurant.

The estate has been placed on the National Register of Historic Places by the United States Department of the Interior. This house, the first parts of which were built between 1805 and 1808, was the home of Simon Cameron and his descendants from 1876 until 1961, when it became part of Elizabethtown College. In 1970 - 1971, the house was renovated through the generosity of Mrs. C. Howland Chase, Washington, D.C. the great-granddaughter of Simon Cameron.

As you stroll around the 15 acres of you'll be greeted with lush green lawns, century old trees, colorful gardens and bubbling streams. The property and grounds are beautifully landscaped and well-maintained. You'll hear birds chirping and you might get lucky if you spot some of the local wildlife nearby. We found our walk to be romantic and peaceful all at the same time.

When you're looking for overnight accommodations you'll find the inn offering 18 beautifully appointed guest rooms, all with private bathrooms and scenic views. Several of the guest rooms offer romantic fireplaces and two rooms have private whirlpool tubs. Comfortable, relaxing and luxurious overnight accommodations await you.

We visited the Cameron Estates Inn to attend a wedding. Their wedding venue can accommodate wedding parties with up to 250 guests and are available year-round. They offer 3 different wedding site venues with 3 different reception areas. The wedding that we attended was held in the Conservatory which can hold up to 275 guests. It's elegant, luxurious and absolutely beautiful. You can find the wedding package information on their website or call them directly to set up an appointment.

The reception was held in the Carriage House which features a walk-up, open bar, an area for dancing & entertainment and will hold up to 275 guests. The tables were elegantly decorated with fine linens, centerpieces and fine china. The wait staff with friendly and professional. The seating area at times was a little cramped when too many people were walking around, but other than that...I thought it was perfect.

Cameron Estate Restaurant (on-site) offers 5-star dining and they recommend that you place reservations ahead of time. We personally didn't eat in the restaurant, but the food we enjoyed at the reception was prepared there and brought down to the venue. We enjoyed perfectly grilled steaks, crab stuffed chicken breasts, vegetables, dinner rolls and various appetizers before our main meal. Everything we tried was delicious!
